The LP-CC-6 is a Bussmann Low-Peak Class CC time-delay fuse rated 600 Vac at 6 A. It is a compact rejection-type fuse for the protection of control circuits, small motors and branch feeders, and it combines current limitation with time delay so it rides through a motor inrush without nuisance opening yet still clears a short circuit fast and limits the fault energy. The rejection feature prevents a fuse of the wrong class being fitted in the holder, which protects the installation over its life, and the Class CC size keeps the panel compact. The LP-CC series runs from a fraction of an amp to 30 A at 600 V, which covers control transformers, pilot circuits, small motors and the branch protection of a machine tool. It is normally used with a Bussmann Class CC holder or a fused disconnect such as the CCP series, and the fuse and holder are selected as a pair for the correct voltage and interrupting rating. A Class CC fuse must coordinate with the upstream device so only the faulted circuit is lost.
